Actress Anya Taylor-Joy traded in her iconic Princess Peach style for a bold, vintage look at the recent F1 Grand Prix in Japan.

Paying homage to jean paul gaultier

Instead of her usual feminine aesthetic, Taylor-Joy opted for a colorful leather corset top with blue, red, and yellow piping from Jean Paul Gaultier's spring 1991 collection. She paired the body-contouring piece with tight, low-waisted black leather trousers.

The actor greeted her friend, F1 driver Lewis Hamilton, and posed with castmates Jack Black and Chris Pratt. Her husband Malcolm McRae, who often matches her style, diverged in a breezy ivory shirt and suit pants.

A departure from princess peach

It was a significant departure from Taylor-Joy's Super Mario Galaxy Movie press tour wardrobe, which has predominantly featured super feminine aesthetics inspired by her character Princess Peach.

Breaking from the Peach pipeline, Taylor-Joy's vintage JPG look felt right for the Suzuka paddock, showing she can effortlessly transition between styles.
