Larson shared heartwarming memories of her childhood in Sacramento, California, spent gaming on a Nintendo. "I’ve always loved video games. Some people assume they’re only for a certain type of person but I denounce that idea… It’s art, it’s for everybody," she told Cosmopolitan UK.
She reflected on past rejections as an aspiring actress, stating that her younger self would be overwhelmed with emotion at the news of voicing the iconic character. "If I think back to [that time], I desperately wanted to be an actor, and everybody was telling me no… If I knew there was relief in the future and that I would get to live the life that I always dreamed of, I don’t think there would be any words, just tears," Larson revealed.
